Temporary closure at Single Hill - Dec 2 until further notice

Hi everyone. CASA have just informed us that because of staff shortages and workload they won't get our exemption renewal through their legal department before our current (very short 9-month) exemption expires at midnight on 1 December.

This means that we can't fly from sun-up December 2 until they get it done, which is expected to be Dec 6. We will notify everyone when it is open again, so don't assume that it's ok from 6th onwards.

This is incredibly frustrating when it was they who would only give a 9-month exemption on the expectation that they would have the new part 103 procedures in place by now. They are nowhere near that and now we have to renew the exemption. They've not even been able to deliver that on time despite us getting everything in to them in the suggested 3 months prior.

I apologise deeply that we might lose a week of flying because of this. I've been trying to push it through as much as I can. 

Look to Winton as an alternative if Single looks flyable.
